Update on previous foster dog Frida
Jul. 17th, 2013 01:03 pmUpdate about former foster Frida :) Here she is with her foster brother Bob the Kelpie - his first time at the beach. After adopting Frida, her family also started volunteering with the same rescue, which is lovely.

Goodbye to Miss Frida ...
Oct. 6th, 2012 07:24 pmAs Miss Frida was going to her new family today, Dan gave her a bath. She was not impressed.
But she's now all clean, sweet-smelling and fluffy. Her lovely new family drove a very long time (at least 9 hours) to get here. The meet and greet went very well and Frida headed off this afternoon on her long journey to her new home.
It's always very hard to say goodbye to the dogs that we foster and I confess that I cry every single time - but it makes it easier when you see them going to such beautiful new families who will adore them and love them.
But she's now all clean, sweet-smelling and fluffy. Her lovely new family drove a very long time (at least 9 hours) to get here. The meet and greet went very well and Frida headed off this afternoon on her long journey to her new home.

Frida's favourite pass-time
Oct. 2nd, 2012 11:13 pmToday Frida spent a lot of the day doing her favourite thing - harassing her foster brother Hoover :)
She also ate a quail and staggered around with a very fat belly. She was very happy about it :)

It was a very cold and windy day today. Not raining but still quite tricky when one's foster puppy is not yet house-trained - it means you spend a lot of time standing outside :) ( Read more... )
It's Friday, thank goodness! What an exhausting week at work. I'm looking forward to having quality time with the puppy. This morning, when we were still in bed, I was naughty and let Frida up on the bed for some cuddle and play time :P We won't get her used to being on human beds - that's for her new family to decide!
Not many photos today because of the rain - so gloomy and overcast. Rain brings with it challenges - puppies do not like toileting in the rain so what this mean was a lot of wee and poo inside. Poor Dan :) I hope the rain clears up soon because housetraining is very difficult when it's so wet, rainy and windy out there.
Frida now officially has the appetite of a horse :) It must have been the wet food that did it - now she's crazy even for kibble on its own. She gives little hops and then sits with a desperately intent look on her face. It's hilarious. She even yips demandingly for the food - she is such a bossy miss. ( Read more... )
