Ollie on trial adoption

It was Ollie's last night with us last night, so we let him sleep on the bed for the first (and last) time. He was a very good boy.

Ollie's currently on trial with a lovely family in Bungendore. The meet and greet went very well and the home and family is wonderful. Introducing a new dog to the pack will always affect pack dynamics, so we'll see how things go in two weeks time.
I already miss my Ollie Monster very much - he's been my fluffy, cuddly, devoted little shadow this past month and he had a way of sitting there are and staring up at me with his serious eyes in a way that I found very irresistible.

Date: 2012-08-25 09:20 pm (UTC)I'm so sorry you have to go through this. I know (as you do) that it's great that Ollie found a new and good hopefully permanent home, but naturally you feel the loss. He's such a cutie and you were a great team!
Your posts always inspire me and make me want to "work" more with Lucy. She's still recovering from her knee ligament surgery, though, and must not jump nor run and only now can start climbing and descending stairs again - slowly. She of course sees no reason to slow down so just keeping her in check is hard work.
