One of the hardest parts of fostering is trying to pick the best home for the foster dog. Pretty much everyone who applies would provide a great home, but our quandary is trying to find an appropriate match from the dog's perspective and the new family's perspective. There are no perfect people and no perfect dogs, but there can be a perfect match.

Evie had her third yard check and a meet and greet today. Last week she had one that went great and she had her third one today that went great as well so we've got some really difficult choices to make.

It's nice to know that there are so many lovely people out there who are willing to give a foster dog a second chance.

It's easy to go to a pet store (boo!!!!!), to a backyard breeder (boo!!!), to a purebred breeder (ok if they are ethical), but it's nice to get a rescue dog. petstock set it best when they said: "It teaches your kids good values. Face it - we live in an extremely materialistic society, in which TV teaches kids that everything can be bought, that they should get their parents to buy them everything, and that anything worth having costs a lot of money. Adopting a rescue pet for your family presents a wonderful opportunity to teach your children basic values of compassion and caring, and also about the value of second chances."

So I love that there are so many people out there who genuinely believe in the value of second chances.

Evie then did some posing for the camera.

She's such a cutie.

Her toilet core addiction continues
