Juniper had a meet and greet this morning and it went well. She starts her two week trial adoption tomorrow! She'll be going to a lovely home with another doggy and will be attending the same dog club as us!
We will miss her horribly but it makes it much better to know that she won't be far away. Some photos from today :) ( Read more... )

Poor Dodge
Dec. 15th, 2013 02:13 pmPoor Dodge, just broke the news to his that his girlfriend Juniper received a really good adoption application today. He's always losing his buddies.

No idea why but Juniper was really scared of cars when she first came into care. She'd try to run away - run anywhere really - and flatten herself on the ground. Dan had to pick her up every single time to put her in the car. One time she leapt off the stairs when she knew we were heading towards the car. We caught her in time otherwise she probably would have hanged herself Oddly enough once in the car she was a good traveller - was just terrified of the car itself.
She's doing really well now. Here's a short clip from this morning.

Juniper: Day #14 in care
Nov. 6th, 2013 10:54 pmJuniper's doing so well. She's sleeping quietly in the dog bed next to me without being tethered. Gone is the restless pacing. When I get up, she might get up to check what I'm doing but she'll return to her bed. Off Switch pretty much activated! :) ( Read more... )
Juniper: Day #13 in care
Nov. 6th, 2013 12:04 pmJuniper wasn't crated last night. She slept in a dog bed and didn't wander. She's making great progress. This morning when I was having a shower, I came out to find Dodge in a crate and her in the dog bed, waiting quietly for me.
She goes out to toilet with the other doggies and isn't quite as good as them about toileting promptly and coming back in. She still thinks it's an opportunity for playtime. Fortunately they discourage play and do their business and come back in while she's bouncing about in their faces and trying to lick them :)
