Progress Table: Day 2 in care
House-training | No accidents so far and toilets promptly when taken outside. |
Doorway etiquette | Naturally waits for human to go first |
Car travel | Cried when first put in crate but then settled |
Mealtime manners | Not making her wait yet as she has just arrived |
Basic focus work (Watch), sit and drop | Very food motivated. Can be lured into a sit with food. |
Go to your mat/crate/bed | Didn't like the crate at first but is doing well and slept quietly in her crate through her first night and is generally quiet when crated. |
1-2 camera-friendly tricks | Too soon |
Assess friendliness/neutrality | Calm and confident around other dogs. Very friendly and calm around strangers |
Assess other behaviours | Overall she is a very calm and friendly dog. No sign of timidity or shyness. She is people-focused, relatively neutral around other dogs and loves human contact (pats/cuddles). Also sensitive to being corrected verbally |
Optional:
Sit-Stay | Too soon |
Drop-stay | Too soon |
Recall | Too soon |
Loose leash walking | Seemed to walk nicely on leash around the house |
Slightly more complex trick | Too soon |
