Just saw this and thought I'd let you know what happened to Louie who I picked from DAS before you were due to collect him after a friend had seen him and thought he might have some potential as a worker. After a few teething problems (he took a bit of time to learn to play nicely with one of my other male Kelpies) he has settled into life on the farm and is turning out to be quite handy as a general paddock dog (as well as his other duties of keeping the couch in place and his new skill he is currently working on of making sure the heater is working). He is also taking to agility with great gusto; he's just so responsive to training it's hard to imagine why this little guy spent his first year in and out of the pound/RSPCA.
