Spunky Diesel

Like lucky Ollie, Diesel was held over from the PTS list twice - and thank Dog for that :) I feel bad for him - he's going to be on a VERY long trip to Melbourne on Tuesday ...

Fence jumping

Some dogs are just natural fence jumpers or fence climbers. Some will only do it in certain circumstances, but once triggered - they keep doing it.

Dan and I went to Leanne's today to take photos/videos to help her rehome two dogs she has in care. One of them is a young dog who is only about 3 or so. He has been in a very loving home since he was a puppy and lived happily with a SWF.

Then his owners went on their honeymoon and left him in the backyard to be looked after by a pet-sitter who came to look after him for a bit every day. He freaked out and fence-jumped - presumably to look for his owners. Ever since then, because he's learned how to do it, he kept fence jumping even though they were home. They just couldn't contain him in their yard anymore no matter what they tried. ( Read more... )
