Not quite so dramatic as some of those photos because luckily none of our dogs were in that bad a state.
Ollie. Rescued from Griffith Pound. Saved by the ranger twice when he was scheduled to be euthanised. Dan drove to Wagga to collect him. Came into care with HORRIBLE kennel cough. I'd never heard KC before and I thought he was dying. Now a very pampered pooch in Bungendore. Adopted by Janet and family in August 2012.
Chimes (now Maggie). Owner surrendered her to friends/neighbours who then surrendered her to rescue. Now lives in Sydney and is a performance dog and a beloved family member. Adopted on 17 August 2014 by Alyce and Kris.
Nova (now Baxter). Dumped at DAS pound in Canberra. Adopted and then surrendered to rescue. Beloved pooch, living in Canberra. He has two families who dote on him :) Adopted 8 September 2012 by Ken and Rachel.
Cricket from Broken Hill pound. Came into care with ticks. No food manners, house-training or any other training but is doing really nicely and will go on trial at the end of the month.
Cupcake (now Sunny). Found as a stray wandering around Narrendera when she was a puppy. Now living as a pampered pooch in Canberra. Adopted 28 June 2014 by Alex and Katy.
Dodge. Found as a stray at Florey Shops. Went into rescue, was fostered by us and is now our third dog. Gotcha Day was 28 October 2012.
Frida. Mama was rescued and Frida and her pups were born in foster care. She's now living in Victoria with a gorgeous family who dote on her. Adopted 6 October 2012 by Susan and family
Juniper. Rescued from Gundagai Pound on her PTS date. Temp care during her quarantine period by Erin's mum. Extremely timid when she came into care but has blossomed since being adopted. Lives in Canberra and is doing well at flyball and is enjoying life greatly. Adopted 18 December 2013 by Kate and Konrad
Nutmeg (now Nina). Rescued from Walgett Pound as part of a litter of six. Almost died of parvo. One of her litter did die of parvo. Now living in Victoria and is extremely spoiled. Adopted 5 August 2013 by Richard, his son Orlando and family
Smudge. Rescued from Walgett Pound as part of a litter of six. Almost died of parvo. One of her litter did die of parvo. Now living in Orange and doing very well as a flyball and agility dog - also a very pampered pooch. Adopted 14 August 2013 by Alice.
Twiggy. Rescued from Young Pound. Was dumped several weeks after weaning her puppies and was extremely undeweight and timid. Her puppies were dumped several weeks later. Now living in Sydney as a very happy member of the family. Adopted 27 August 2014 by Marious.
