I've been thinking about fostering dogs for a long time. The rescue threads on DOL make me so sad. I've helped out by making donations - financial and non-financial. OH has taken photos and I've made music videos but all along I've wanted to foster a dog and make a real difference in that dog's life. So I applied to Australian Working Dog Rescue. On Sunday 8 July, we passed the yard check and we are hoping to have our first foster dog soon.

We have some rules.

Only one foster dog at a time.
No dogs directly from the pound
Dog needs to have been either kennelled first or with another carer first to confirm no illness and dog aggressiveness given that we cannot quarantine and Elbie and Hoover's well-being must come first
Preference is Kelpies and Kelpie crosses

I'm nervous but excited.
